We provide acupuncture for mental and emotional health and balance. Acupuncture’s ability to settle anxious minds and support patients in living a fulfilled life is what Calm Clinics focuses on. All of our practitioners have a special interest in working towards calming turbulent emotions and mental states, providing acupuncture treatments that give hope and stability through difficult times and beyond.
We provide traditional acupuncture if you are suffering from anxiety, depression or emotional states that have resulted in a struggle to live life as fully as you wish. Our goal is also to educate the public that acupuncture has a significant role in dealing with mental and emotional suffering alongside its recognised benefits for various physical ailments. Acupuncture’s strength is to work holistically so it is well equipped to also help with physical symptoms or health issues that might accompany your anxiety or depression.
It is the holism at the heart of acupuncture that makes it effective in dark or unsettling times. Calm Clinics practitioners work towards helping your body and mind regain a balanced state where you can begin to find freedom from emotions or mental processes that have become stuck. Evidence is growing that shows acupuncture is effective in this area of health care.
Advances in technology, medicine and health care means that many of the health problems that we have encountered in our history can now be addressed. However, despite these advances many people in the modern world feel ill at ease, anxious, lacking purpose or even find themselves depressed.
With low spirits, lack of hope or dwelling in the blackness of depression these advances can mean little. This is where acupuncture is able to play a role. Helping you cope and work towards a brighter more hopeful state of being.
The collection of professional acupuncturists that is Calm Clinics are comprehensively trained and work together to ensure high standards of practice. Delivering acupuncture that is geared towards a clearer mind and stable emotional state.
In our professional approach delivering acupuncture we are fully aware that patients often access treatments while receiving support from their GP or other professionals and may be taking prescribed medication. We recommend that anyone accessing acupuncture does so with the knowledge of any other professional party who is playing a part in their mental and emotional health care. We also recommend that any care additional to acupuncture being provided is continued.
As part of this network of support Calm Clinics practitioners may also advise your referral to other professionals if they deem this appropriate. This is most likely to be your own GP but could also include recognised practitioners such as counsellors or psychiatrists.
